Owner Phil Kempcke is no newcomer to seed sales. He’s been doing it for 30 years. When he took over the operation here in 2006, he became a strong advocate for Pioneer® brand products.
Three years after Phil started the business, his son, Nate, came back from college and joined him. His wife, Mary, also plays an important role in growing the business. The team is very serious about working hard to deliver the best advice, products, and services to their customers — and they’re known for always having fun along the way.
It’s no wonder that most of their customers are also good friends. And that’s the way the Kempckes believe it should be: building business relationships based on trust, common values, and personal friendships.
They’re committed to helping customers on their farms, but also have a love of agriculture themselves. Phil and his brother Paul farmed for 45 years in the Blair area. Today, the family farms a 50/50 corn soybean rotation, and now that Nate has joined the operation they can claim a fourth-generation farm.
